Does anyone have this weird sense of relief now that the election is over, whether you supported obama, mccain or couldnt be bothered to bother
Just a few weeks ago the politics board was full of partisan arguments, accusations of racism, "obama is a socialist," "palin is an idiot" etc and suddenly everything is calm now
I am glad the election was definitive. I would have hated a 2000 fiasco where the election was ultimately decided by political maneuvering and the courts. If McCain won I would have wanted him to have won decisively as well.
I do notice that there is a lot more press about Obama now than any transition I can remember. I can't remember this many news stories about every appointment previous president-elects made. I do hope that this newfound interest in politics stays with us. A few years ago I ran into people who didn't know who the vice president or the secretary of state were; now everyone knows Obama's picks.
Yeah, it's a nice Lull, lots of promises made and we were told everyone will instantly Love us, so we'll get 'Change'.
Oh great. With the stuff about the Obama birth cert the partisanship is going to come back again
YES!! It is a relief...not to mention the commercials are GONE...:)
