Get my wisdom teeth out, any experience you can share?

So I have to get my wisdom teeth out this summer and I was wondering if anyone has…and if so what was it like…did you have any complications..etc. Thanks

well just recently I had just one taken out and I was scared to death that it was going to hurt really bad. Let me tell you it was the fastest thing I have ever had to go through. The dentist said I will feel some pressure and then he said ok we are done. It is not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be and I am like the bigest chicken ever :)

ahh be careful! I had to get mine out too and I decided to live with the pain instead. lol. bad idea though. I had to take a tylenol like every 4 hours and for a week straight. worst pain ever. I didnt tell my parents though hehe. from what I’ve heard, they put you to sleep so don’t really worry :)

lucky you get sleepy meds, at my clinic indian health services of course they give you one of those shots in your gums and do it then, and let me tell you it hurts like none other and I wouldve rather gotten my head bashed in

I have, and to be honest, I don’t remember it. they drugged me up on novacane, had me count to 10 and I was out at 7. hahah. but the day after, my gums were sore. its like the pain you get when you loose or grow a tooth. not that bad.

Answer #5

Try and get them to use gas if possible. It hurts like hell if they just inject your mouth. I got mine done with absolutely no problems. Went to sleep in a couple of seconds. Woke up, went to class. Took a pain killer before the pain started (this is key!) and kept taking them every 6 hours like clock work. Didnt even hurt (well a little when eating)

I got all four of mine pulled out at the same time. Only had the numbing stuff, and it hurt like a mofo. haha. I couldn’t eat anything, not even drink anything for like a week. The stitches were annyoing and I hated tasting blood whenever I tried to eat (that’s why I didn’t eat). But, vicodine was my best friend. Knocked me out, but I only took it once, cause I don’t like taking meds. But after a while, it gets better. Everyone responds differently to pain and such. You’ll be fine. Good Luck!
