Can I do housework and errands after having two wisdom teeth removed?

This Thursday, I will be having my top two wisdom teeth removed because I just can’t stand the pain no longer. The only thing is this: I’m a wife who stays home and does a lot of house chores, but I heard that I probably wouldn’t be able to do so.

Would I be able to cook supper, and do housechores while recovering from having my top wisdom teeth removed? If not, I would like to know so I can get the house cleaned well enough for the husband to keep up with simple things like washing dishes and what not.

Everyone I’ve been around was able too, But honestly It depends on how your dentist does it and how YOU react too all of the pain.

They say it’s best to just rest for the day after you get your wisdom teeth removed. I remember when I got mine pulled, I just wanted to relax

Answer #3

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at once and was anesthetized for the procedure, and took about 3-4 hours before I was even able to function (short term memory was not hooking up).and about 1 day until I was getting around.

Call your dentist and ask him/her what to expect. I would expect you to take it easy for a day if you get twilight or general anesthesia. if local, then probably a half day of rest if possible.

Good Luck!!
