What is a flea shampoo that does not irritate skin?

I recently got a cat that is very special. she is allergic to fleas,foods,and has very sensitive skin. I have her coat cleared up and her skin nice now but I cant find a shampoo that doesn’t break her out.

…let me add this to editor’s words…DO NOT use Hartz or any of the cheapies you can get at places like Walmart…DO NOT use dog flea drop, make absolutely sure they are for cats…and DO NOT use a dose bigger than what this particular weighs. Revolution, as well as other good flea/tick meds are a pesticide, and not following the directions exactly, can be fatal to your cat.

Oh also, if you are bathing her for the fleas, that’s a different story. If she’s over 12 weeks (3 months) old, buy a monthly flea prevention treatment. I recommend “Revolution” – it kills fleas, flea eggs, ticks AND mosquitoes – which no other flea prevention does. You can buy it at any petstore, vet or even eBay.

Hi, Some animals have wheat allergy – make sure her food doesn’t contain wheat or grain, and see if that helps. As for the shampoo…cats don’t need to be bathed like dogs. They spend 80% of their time (or some other ridiculous number) grooming themselves – no need to bathe!
