Swimming while on your period

No, there aren’t. I know many girls who were scared/skeptical about using tampons for the first time. If your daughter realizes that is the only way, she probably won’t want to miss out on swimming and just might give tampons a try. Tell her its okay to try a couple of times if she doesn’t feel comfortable the first time.

Tampons would be a good choice for your daughter but if she is not wanted to use tampons just keep that option open and keep some in the house so if she wants to try them later all she has to do is grab one and try. Your period stops in the water, so if she is at a meet wearing a tampon wont be a problem the thing is getting to the meet and back she would need to change right before entering the water and right after getting out of the water. or atleast within 3-5 minutes, at the latest.
