Does any one know how to get rid of stretch marks? I have a few on my thighs...and it SUCKS!!!

Home remedies to remove stretch marks Time – Stretch marks, like all types of scarring fade over time. Retin-A (Tretinoin) – 0.1% Tretinoin creams have been shown to significantly reduce the appearance of stretch marks in a study published in the May 1996 Archives of Dermatology. See your doctor for a prescription. These creams work best when used on fresh stretch marks. WARNING: Do not use tretinoin treatments if you are pregnant of breast feeding as the active ingredient may be passed to the unborn child or the breast milk. Exfoliate daily – use a loofah or scrunchy to remove daily. Stretch Mark Creams and Lotions – Using creams and lotions that heal and beautify your skin can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. The following ingredients are widely accepted as beneficial for this purpose: Cocoa butter Rose hip oil Emu oil Jojoba oil Castor oil Shea butter Vitamin A, E & C Vic’s Vapor Rub – Many people have reported success using Vic’s Vapor rub by applying it to a washcloth or paper towel and rubbing it forcefully into the scarred skin on a nightly basis for a few weeks. Increase Circulation – by taking hot baths and massaging the areas regularly. Tanning – Go sunbathing! Tanning can diminish and even eliminate minor stretch marks. Be sure to use sun screen. Vitamin E Gel – Break open vitamin E capsules and rub the oil into the skin over the stretch marks daily for 2 weeks. unstretch the skin – After the skin returns to its normal, unstretched size, stretch marks often become nearly invisible.
I have been useing vic's vapor rub and shea casmere lotion(found at bath and body works) and its working really well, me strechmarks are hardly visible!! im 14 and I've had strech marks for about 2 years... its because I grew to fast, I feel like I souldnt have them because im only 5"2 and I weight 102 lbs. yeah ONLT 102 LBS!!! I shouldnt have them... but for about a month I have been useing vic's vapor rub and shea casmere lotion and massaging my legs where my strech marks are(upper/inner thighs)and they are almost gone!! like you cant see the indent from them anymore, its only a little pink so if I keep using vic's vapor rub and shea casmere lotion they will be gone by next month!! omg I cant wait, I really reccomend this stuff.. :)
items and locations: vic's vapor rub: can be found anywhere really, like safeway,longs,walgreens,walmart, or any drug store. shea casmere lotion: can b found at bath and body works, which is normally located in a mall or city and if you cant find a bath and body works just google where else you can buy shea casmere lotion :)

Unfortunately you cannot get rid (completely remove) stretch marks once they have formed. The only way to completely REMOVE them is to actually remove that area of skin... so if they are on your stomach then a tummy tuck would do the trick (for stretch marks below the belly button). But, I do believe you may be able to reduce the look of stretch marks. Make them fade, become less in length and width etc. All stretch marks fade on their own in time... some peoples might fade (from pink/purple to white/silver) within months, some might take years, but they will eventually fade at some point. Just make sure to keep hydrated by drinking PLENTY of water, your skin needs it. Also try and keep the areas with stretch marks well moisturised... try using a moisturiser with vit E and or cocoa butter in it. Keep the skin moisturised helps. So, you may not be able to remove stretch marks but if you look after them properly you may be able to make them look better.

I've heard vitamin E, or various lotions, ... but from a doctor I've also heard they are permanent unless you get surgery. However, red stretch marks can be faded with laser treatment

I have the same problem. Just because I grew too fast. Don't bother with most products that you find at drug stores. Go to a professional instead.
try Bio-Oil it worked 4 me
