Like as in measurements, capacity, ect?

Answer #2

SI is Systeme International, (metric system) of measurement…

As in liters, deciliters, milliliters, etc- the deci & milli are prefixes.

Answer #3

i dont know, on my science paper it just says ‘list the 5 SI prefixes’.

Miss,Mrs,Sir,Ms.,Sr. …….Something like that? I’m not sure.

Answer #5

There are more than 5 so called “preferred prefixes” for use with the SI units. They go up in multiples of 1000:

a = atto = x10^-18 f = femto= x10^-15 p = pico= x10^-12 (or one million millionth) n = nano= x10^-9 (or one thousand millionth) μ = micro= x10^-6 (or one millionth) m = milli= x10^-3 (or one thousandth) prefix absent = x 10^0 ( or x 1) k = kilo= x10^3 ( or x one thousand) M = Mega= x10^6 (or x one million) G = Giga= x10^9 (or times one thousand million) T = Tera = x10^12 (or times one million million)

They are used both with the 7 primary units - mass in kilogram, length in metre, time in second, electric current in Ampere, temperature in Kelvin, amount of substance in mole, and luminous intensity in candela. As well as many other secondary or “derived” units.

In addition to the “preferred prefixes” c = centi = x10^-2 (or one hundredth) d = deci = 10^-1 (or one tenth) and h = hecto = 10^2 (or x one hundred)

may also be used in accordance with custom and practice.
