the other da at was at walmart and the cashier turned off the light that lets you know its open but people still kept getting in that line and got mad when she told them it was closed
Because people in the world are impatient. They see it as this "its your job to check me out at my convienance, I wait a certian time not all day!" Many people have places to go and things to do, and closing a lane makes it so they have to go into a different lane that could be longer or inconvienent for them to take the 3 steps over to a different lane. Its just a combination of the inability to comprehend the actual reason for why the lane is closed and how a few seconds in life couldnt hurt anyone....
Most probably because they were thinking they were next and they just got their bubble busted. Not just that people are impatient. We stand in lines all the time. We just plan to wait and its no problem. When u think u don't have to wait and then someone tells you "sorry, this lane is closed" and then u have to look for the shortest line again feeling like u were just fooled or misled then u get angry.
as Fran said, their imaptient, they just want to be served quickly once they have everything and then leave, they dont want to be waiting very long in line. the people who kept lining up though were imaptient and childish. they just wanted to have their way and get out of their as fast as possible, with no regard for the chashier who is just doing her job
Because they wanna get out of the store and when they say lane closed the person knows it will take longer to get out of the store, therefore makein them mad, I don't like the lines in stores either
because the lane that is closed is usually the shortest line, and no one wants to stand in a long line.
Impatience.
