Does anything your parents say really matter?

I don’t remember listening to my parents but I sure do find myself acting like them. I don’t think my kids listen to me.

When you’re a teenager, you don’t believe anything your parents say and think they’re just trying to ruin your life…then, when you’re a parent, your teens don’t believe in anything you say and think you’re just trying to ruin their lives….it’s a no-win situation.

Answer #13

My father is a very clever man… He makes me mad sometimes with his ways or the things he sais, but in the end he’s usually right. If I ever need advice on anything from maths homework to financial advice I’ll ask him. He knows! Though, he isn’t supeman… That’s why when I need relationship advice, I ask my mom. :-) Yes, they are from a different generation and some things they did don’t apply any more, but you can just gain knowledge if you ask and listen to them.

Answer #14

Don’t even try to educate you kids. They’ll do as you do anyway.
