Panic attacks

I have loads of panic attacks, were I cant breathe properly and it feels as though my throte is closing up or my tongue is swelling, this usually happens when im nervous, like when im near a big crowd in town, or even in my class room at school, I havent got confidence and I think thats what it is. How can I gain more confidence, and relax more?
