Did the Nazi medical experiments later turn out to be useful?

I’ve been reading about some of their Human experimentation such as the Bone, muscle, and nerve transplantation experiments, Josef Mengele’s experiments on twins and a how the Luftwaffe intended to discover methods of treatment and prevention of hypothermia. I know it’s extremely horrific the things they experimented with and how badly they seemed to neglect the children, women, men they experimented on and most experiments ended in death, disfigurement or permanent disability and could be considered medical torture. But did any scientific evidence come from any experiments they did, which could have caused progression within science/medicine? If so,which experiments? Or is it just the case of Nazi’s taking power to far and were feckless?

Answer #1

yeh i feel they did true some of it was totally cruel but useful

Answer #2

Interesting question, I think that if they did make advancements in medicine that many people would hide the fact that the Nazi’s discovered it.

Answer #3

I only ask this as I’ve read certain stories but people argue it couldn’t have been proven right, according to certain records, as the people who conducted the experiments were reckless when it came to actually writing all the ‘changes’ ect down. But I think what you’re saying could be true the fact people would hide the fact Nazi’s discovered/proved it.

Answer #4

I can honestly say I dont remember which particular experiment advanced us in medicine; however, I can positively say most of all experiments tested by the Nazis were and are used today. Even thought Hitler was a hated, terrifying, horrific leader, he was a genious in many ways. Many of our own social laws being used today in the US immulate many of Hilters soeial agendas. Unfortunately, I dont remember which ones they are. Also, I do know that we have constructed our roads based on many of Hitler’s ideas. if you are looking for particulars about Hitler do searchs on the net - great information

Answer #5

There’s a fine line between genius and insanity.

Answer #6

Agreed. but he was able to use propaganda and motivate large numbers of people around the ideology of hate, motivation and manipulating people ( like how he manipulated Stalin into agreeing they would ‘spilt’ poland and made deals in secret but then invaded Russia) He was also able to provide jobs and opportunities of thousands of people plus he Germany hope for new found glory following the ‘knock’ on the economy (following the Treaty of Versailles)

Answer #7

Completely true Pistol Annies Angel - however, then who draws the line? From what I understand you are deemed crazy if you’re a genius. lolol
