My soon to be in-laws are talking about me behind my back.

my soon to be in-laws have been talking about me behind my back, and its two weeks before the wedding. I found out what they were saying from my soon to be brother in law and I know he wouldn’t lie to me we are really close. I’m still in college and getting ready to graduate from nursiing. they think that when we get married I am going to quit school and become some bum and get money off of everyone else. I have told them im not going to drop out I have come way to far and getting ready to graduate, but they don’t listen. I have a job and I work as much as I can, I have student loans, bills, and all the things I need in life ( shampoo, soap, etc.) but the rest I save up and have saved quiet a bit, but now they are saying that I am going to spend every little amount of money that I get a hold of and I won’t have anything. I’m not really the big spending type of person I only get the things I need and once in a while I might go out and get a pair of jeans I want. no biggie. I don’t understand why they are saying all of this stuff now. and as for my fiance he won’t say anything…he won’t stand up for me or ask them to back off a little. usually I don’t let stuff like this bother or hurt me but for some reason this has hurt me a great deal and I don’t know why. I don’t know what to do anymore they have never said anything as far as I know until here lately. please help me.
