my cat has been shitting in the closet. I tried scolding her and that didnt work. I decided to take her nose and rub it in the shit. that didnt work either. I then mixed it in her dry food and made her eat it. that has seemed to work.

Uhm no, outside cats have MUCH shorter lives… and she has no idea how to be an outside cat if she’s lived inside her whole life…

My cat did this, turned out it was really simple… I just took the lid off the litterbox, and voila, problem solved…

Buy 2 litter boxes, both without lids (they dont have to be expensive, you’re just trying this out) Put 1 in the basement where there’s no traffic Put 1 wherever you keep your other litter box Show her these new boxes Keep the bathroom locked See what happens… If you want, try putting 2 litterboxes in the basement, have 1 with different litter in it, and see if that works… Locking her up with the litter box isnt going to help you do anything… she has absolutely no idea why you’ve locked her up

Sometimes they want bigger boxes, sometimes deeper ones… I mean sometimes if there’s no lid, they want a lid…

if none of that works, check if she has an infection… take her to the vet…

Change litter buy a new litterbox lock kitty out of the bathroom ask the vet - could be hormones let kitty out of the house - kitty can poop outside get rid of any other kitty smell - kitty might be marking its territory

thats all I’ve got right now… hope this helped! xx

Sounds like your cat is trying to tell you that it wants to live outside . Next time get yourself a free one , they make better pets.
