How do I lose weight and gain muscle fast?

I have a try outs in like a week and I was wondering if anyone had any good ways that you can lose weight and gain muscle. I mostly need to lose weight in my legs and need to gain muscle there too. So please if you have any tips or good ways…. please tell me.

There is no way you can make meaningful improvements on your weight and strength in a week. Trying an intense 1 week regime just before a tryout you are more likely to injure yourself and miss the try outs all together.

I hate to be so negative but 1 week just isn’t enough time to train up.
