None, people just have to believe in one or more. If one actually existed showed themselves rather than being all mysterious and elusive, perhaps that would lead to a less screwed up society than one in which the majority of the population believes in something nobody’s seen, though.

I’ld say just one. But in fact it’s not really the Gods(though the biblical one is quite gory & grim), it’s the people who take it to extremes over their believes, shoving it on other people’s faces & such that’s what causes a division. Both sides bent on the other seeing their truth.
