How can i lose the fat in my stomach?

how can i lose the fat in my stomach? I don’t expect it to be absolutely flat but it would be nice to wear a bikini or cropped top without the bulge in my stomach. thanks in advance.

I have found the “number” you do is not the key, in fact that actually discourages you to push yourself. Say you tell yourself I am going to do 15 push-ups, well when you hit 15 your brain says okay you completed your goal now you stop. Well the reality is you have 10 more push-ups left in you and that extra 10 push-ups is what will get you results, because the burn is what counts when it comes to exercising. As far as jumping jacks goes you don’t have to do the same thing with these this is mainly for cardio and to build up your stamnia. I would enough to where you are breathing heavily. Then work out with pushups, sit ups, pull ups, do as many of those as you can then break for 30 seconds and push yourself more, then go back to jumping jacks. The more you sweat the better. You can also put on sweats this will help burn fat. With all exersises make sure you stretch your legs first and your arms etc… Here is a list of stretches you can do:

Running is also good i tend to run on the tred mill with a towel covering up the screen because again your brain plays a major roll in how far you push yourself, if you cant see the monitor you wont know that special distance to stop at just push till its hard to push anymore and then slowly bring the speed down 1mph every 20-45 seconds, always cool down though, don’t cold stop its bad on your legs and shins and it can be painful temporarily.

Let me know how all this works out for you! Jason

Well the problem a lot of people have and I actually do this to, is you put a number in your head and then stop when you reach that number. When you actually want to go to where you can’t do anymore pushups, or situps, then rest a minute and do as many as you can again. This is what will give you the best results. As for jumping jacks you don’t have to do the same with these, because this is mainly for cardio and it gets your heart going and builds stamina. Make sure you stretch real good be for starting your exersises everday… because pulling something will set you back. For pushups you can go till you can’t go anymore then you can switch to girl style push ups on the knees… then go until you cant go anymore. This really works in my experience. When running on a tredmil, before you start make sure to stretch your legs real good, cause i pulled a ham string.. and it takes foreverrrrrrr to heal. Try covering up the readout and don’t look at it, keep pushing yourself till you get to where you have about 2 minutes left till you cant do anymore, then bring the speed down 1 mph every 30 seconds, you do not want to stop cold, this will cause stress on your knees, shin splints.. etc. Check your distance you went, then the next day push yourself harder but dont look at the display and see if you pushed yourself further. It took me about a week 1/2 to get to where I could run a mile pretty decent… and I wasnt in very good shape cardio wise.

Good luck, and let me know how it goes! Jason

I have seen that the “8 Week Body Makeover” works very well. You send them a a problem area, which in your case is the stomach, and they will send you a diet. But remember to be commited to this!

EAT THE RIGHT KIND OF FOOOD ~ CARDIO IS VERY GOOD..INSTEAD OF JUS LOOSING UR STOMACHE WHY NOT LOOSE EVERYWHERE? SO SIT UPS LEG-UPS.. DO NOT DIET..CUZ IF YU DO AND U EAT A LITTLE BIT UR STOMACHES GONNA GO BOOOM ! AND POP OUT CUZ ITS NOT USED TO IT. DRINK ALOT OF WATER; EAT 2 HRS BEFORE U WORK OUT, AND DONT EAT AFTER 6.. EAT ALOT OF PROTEIN TOO. HOPE THIS HELPS<3

You can’t change your shape, if you naturally store alot of fat in the stomach area, live with it. The only way to get a smaller stomach is to loose weight, but you can’t alter your natural body-type.

Answer #7

thanks for the answers. i know about the whole don’t “don’t eat too much” thing. and yes, how many push-ups, jumping jacks, situps would you suggest?

Answer #8

If you actually eat more, it speeds up your metabolism. So, eat more low cal, low fat foods (i.e. fruits veggies). Plus, work out. Crunches only work your upper abs, so run and ride your bike too.

Answer #9

I don’t recommend “dont eat to much “ as littlefluff said, its more important to watch what you eat than slow down on eating! Try eating fruits, veggies, chicken, salads etc.. and stay way from soda, pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs, sugars etc. You can also eat pastas and rice, but ONLY if you are going to work out, because these contain a lot of carbs

carbs = energy

Bike around your area Running Swimming Jumping jacks Sit ups Push-ups

will all help you lose the weight
