Answer #1

Eating like you did before is most likely what caused your bad chlosterold. Its best to eat a healthy balanced diet, cut down on the salty and fatty foods.

Answer #2

The word diet is used two different ways. It can mean a short term extreme eating plan to gain or loose weight, get “cut and ripped” or whatever. It can also describe the way we typically eat.

Your doctor probably intended the dietary changes to be permanent ones. If the diet your doctor put you on is so extreme and unsatisfying that you can not stick to it long term it does little good to do it for a while then go back to your regular mode of eating. You are better off making small changes you can live with than large changes that are not sustainable.
