I think so what about you?
In the old days (before 1987) there was something called the fairness doctrine. It basically said that when a broadcaster takes a controversial position they had to give equal time if someone wanted to present the opposing viewpoint. When the fairness doctrine was struck down most broadcasters still made some effort to be objective and present both sides of issues. Rupert Murdoch basically turned this on its ear and started a very conservative news channel with little attempt to present liberal viewpoints except perhaps to belittle them. Fox "News" has been an important ally to the Republican party though since Fox was a big part of the Tea Party movement many wonder if Fox serves the Republican party or if the Republican party serves Fox.
Famous quotes by the last of the true breed in newscasting...Walter Cronkite
Everything is being compressed into tiny tablets. You take a little pill of news every day – 23 minutes – and that’s supposed to be enough. ~Walter Cronkite
Objective journalism and an opinion column are about as similar as the Bible and Playboy magazine.
In seeking truth you have to get both sides of a story.
We are not educated well enough to perform the necessary act of intelligently selecting our leaders.
And just an FYI he also shared his thoughts about "Healthcare" ....
America’s health care system is neither healthy, caring, nor a system. ~Walter Cronkite
And there you have it!!!
None of the major television media today just 'report'....They massage the facts to fit a certain agenda.....That's why it's so important to not only listen to little 'phrases' put forth which sound good but cover up the truth if you do even a little research.....Journalism in general, has really let the American people down, not holding politicians feet to the fire on promises and NEVER investigating numbers/facts being put out....Sad....Fox is being put down here, yet it has 4X the audience/viewers consistantly than the others.....appears most watch them...
MRC are hacks with an agenda to "prove" media has a liberal bias. Liberal compared to what? The whole country has slid so far to the right that Democrats are more conservative today than most Republicans were 40 years ago and Republicans are getting dangerously close to previously fringe groups like the John Birch Society and Christian nationalist groups. It is getting to the point where reporting facts that undermine conservative positions or refusing to report lies that conservatives claim is considered liberal bias.
Usually FNC viewership beats MSNBC by 2-3x not 4x. On the other hand MSNBC's demographics are more attractive to advertizers. MSNBC does particularly well with the coveted 25-54 age demographic, college graduates, and consumers with more disposable income. FNC and MSNBC are both picking up CNN viewers who are jumping ship because frankly CNN sucks.
Most I say is lie cuz the anonymous hackers they only hack cuz of some thing that is not right to them but those ppl make out crap saying that they hack a kid Facebook and crap but that was all made of but it was funny how the kid was talking and he's junk

At least you can get a snipit of the truth. For example, if someone dies, they can tell you, and maybe even some sketchy details. So at least you know that the person is dead, and you can come up with your own conclusions.
