It depends on your goals. A bodybuilder's bulking diet can contain as high as 30% fat if he likes. A normal person usually aims for 20-30% fat. Keep in mind, fat ISN'T bad if you know which kind to consume and when to consume it. Unsaturated fats from peanut butter, fish, avocados, etc. are used by the body when exercising so that you don't store it. Saturated fats are rarely used by the body so try to eat those in moderation if you can.
A diet with 30% protein, 30% fat, and 40% carbohydrates is considered normal.
