Epilepsy?

Hey I need to ask you about something that I think you can try to help me about it,I am epileptic and I’m on the treatment callled epilim but the problem now is that I have this thing that I don’t know if it have something to do with my seizure,when I’m talkink with someone I just stop without finishing my sentence for maybe 10 seconds and that someone have to shake me so that I can come back to my senses and when I come back I won’t remember a word of what I have been saying until I’m reminded.so can you plis help if you can I would appreciate that.

You need to bring this to your doctors attention - when taking a medication you should be looking out for things like this and report them back to whoever prescribed it so they know. So call him/her today and let them know.

Steph is right about discussing this with your doctor, for your piece of mind, if nothing else. However, this type of forgetful freezing is not uncommon with epilepsy. It is called an absence seizure, and also referred to as a ‘petit mal’ seizures (from the French for “little illness”). So don’t worry, but definitely let your doctor know. Good Luck!!
