I eat a lot of olive oil and I use it for cooking also. Is this healthy? Or should I cut down on the olive oil? And if so replace it by what?
...it still has fat, so, don't go crazy with it :) But, it's non saturated fat, so it's good from that perspective.
Usually, Olive oil is the one people migrate too from vegetable oil or butter, which are both far less healthy.
Olive oil is one of the healthiest of all the oils. I use it instead of butter in most dishes like strir fries and I even use an olive cooking spray for things like eggs and saute.
Olive oil is completely natural so the more the better - it benefits you and wont do any harm. You benefit a lot from choosing it over the fatty-type oils.
I agree with Steph...I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil when I cook.
its good for you.
