Do you have to go to drivers ed for your permit?

I don’t know bout where you live but here in CO you dont if you wait till your 15 and 6 months… if you go for it when your just 15 then you have to take driver’s ed. but I don’t know if its the same where you live

in order to get a permit, you have to have drivers ed. when you pass drivers ed, you will recieve a certificate of completeion. when you go to the driving bureau, you will show them that , your parents license, birth certificate, social security (I think thats all ) then you will go take the written portion of the driving test. after you pass that you will receive your permit. you have to have your permit for 6 months before you get your license. or when you turn 16. you have to be 16 in order to get your license. if you do not pass the written portion for your permit, then you have to wait for 30 days to retake it. hope this helps
