I’d like to buy a new HDTV, what is the best brand to buy? in terms of quality, price and longevity?

Sony has never let me down. I own many Sony products, and I can honestly say they rock!! They are nott he cheapest, but I think they are the best. 2nd place is Toshiba, have ancient tv and VCR going on 12 years now… still going great

Phillips - decent and simple. many radios over the past 20 years and the only reason I throw them away is cause I am moving and the girfriend hates hates the look. I still have one from 20 years back. ahe hasnt found it :)
