Are there any benefits from taking cold baths after an intense workout?

Answer #1

It cools you off, moreover it brings your temperature down to a comfortable one.

Answer #2

never do this in your life because i had a neighbor who was died while doing this practices. the reason is that when we suddenly cool down our body temperature after having work out it affects our amune system so take care of your self

Answer #3

No don’t do this. It may cool you down but it really messes with your nervous system going from hot to cold. It’s better to take a hot shower or bath with Epsom salts. It will relax your muscles, and make them feel less sore.

Answer #4

The research shows mixed results. Some studies have suggested it aids muscle recovery through vasoconstiction, removal of waste products such as lactic acid and reducing inflammation, while others say it doesnt really do anything.

Cold baths are used more if you do contact sports and have ALOT of bruising such as hockey football or MMA. My brothers and I do ice baths but sadly I was requested to stop during my pregnancy. :-(
