Baby's feeding

My 9 months old daughter don’t like taking her food (rice cereal) so I had to force her by putting the food in her mouth and covering her nose with my fingers, that way she’ll want to choke and then swallow the food so she can breath. But I don’t to know if it has a side effect. Pls advice me.

Answer #1

well I tke care of my bffs lil 9months old brother and he doent like his food eather so I mix it in with peaches, bannas, and apples jar food but I never hold his nose that hurts a baby

Answer #2

what the hell??? ever heard of a word called “Docter”… please go to a doc if your baby is not taking a proper diet… and for gaods sake… don’t do this mess wid her… let her be alive!!

Answer #3

oh no never do that. Rice cereal can be mixed in a bottle or sippy cup with milk or water. If you child is young enough for a bottle still then make sure the opening is big enough for him/her. Also there is other kinds of cereals not just rice ones maybe they would like that better. Sometimes they have bananna flavors mixed in with it too.

Answer #4

You don’t give a 9 mth old meat!! And what you are doing to your child is considered abuse. You dont force feed a child at ANY age. Mix the rice with something else soft–vegetables (baby food). Table food like cheerios is ok, helps with manual dexterity also. But consult with your dr. to see what they say before giving table food.

Answer #5

Sorry but are you INSANE? That is no way to get a child to eat and being a mother you should know how dangerous that is…jeez…

Answer #6

first off dont hold your babies nose she cant breath if you do that.. babies breath from their noses…second just put the rice cereal in with her jar of food…I never give my baby the rice cereal by its self and shes fine…and shes 9 months now so she could prob have some table food like meats, cheese, yo gurt, potatoes, fruit, …no strawberries, eggs or peanuts at all…I would do yobaby too for yogurt…but if she doesnt like it like I said mix it in with her food.just a few teaspoons of her size spoon.
