What are they doing in Iraq? The war ended in sept 2010. There are about 50,000 troops there acting as advisors but not engaged in combat operations. Maybe you are thinking of Afghanistan where the war still rages on and troops and civilians die every day. The only death’s in Iraq now are from rogue su!cide bombers against police stations.

unless the US army is slaughtering kurds with gas and sponsoring serial rapes and m*urders of random civilian people that numbered in the thousands or tens of thousands.

No, I think the US military and contractors are generally doing the right thing. There are certainly some bad apples out there (especially among the contractors) but for the most part the military is there to help and doing the best they can and at a huge sacrifice for themselves as well as their families.. The person I’m disgusted with is the person who sent them over there, President George W Bush. The Iraqi invasion and occupation was ill conceived, unjustified, and probably illegal. By international law GWB could probably be convicted as a war criminal attacking another sovereign nation that posed little or no threat to us. I don’t think Saddam Hussein was a great guy but it looks just like all our other meddling in the Middle East the law of unintended consequences will guarantee that our solution ends up worse than the problem.
