Aracnophobia (fear of spiders)

Aracnophobia (fear of spiders) Does anyone else have it and if so then how do you put up with it when you see a spider?. Its soo scary I hate them, I had a spider in my room last night that was black with yellow and lime green stripes on it lol.. How do you cope when you see a spider (if you are scared of it that is..)

Answer #1

I know exactly how you feel, I can’t even look at a picture of a spider without being freaked out by it. I use a can of air freshener to kill them and then my husband or my son will clean it up.

Answer #2

I HATE spiders. Even talking about them will give me the creeps. I have to get away from where it is at and grab he nearest spray or liquid soap and spray or pour that on them, then I make my boyfriend clean it up. I litterally CRINGE when I see one or talk about one.

I was really scared of spiders as well. I couldn’t go fishing with my father because I’d see spiders. Hell, I couldn’t even sit on the grass without being paranoid. If I was by myself and no one could kill it for me, ii would actually cry. sheer panic! I started working in a pet store recently and I promised myself that I would become comfortable with the tarantula. I know right, that seems so unreal.. but I sincerely believe that the only way to get past a fear is to face it, head on. I held her in my hand the other day for the first time. She was so gentle and peaceful. I officially dominated my fear that day. I don’t know if you’ll ever get the courage to do that, I didn’t think I ever would. But it made me see the beauty that my fear was blocking.

I’m absolutely petrified of them. It has to be a phobia. I hate talking about it but one time there was one spider (slightly bigger than my thumbnail) and it was in my hair! I screamed and tossed my head about until I’d shaken it off. Then when I’d shaken it off, I threw up quite badly. I was hysterical for over an hour, crying my eyes out. There was also another time when I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the light (I don’t know why though). But then I looked at the wall and saw the biggest spider I’d ever seen in real life! It had been right next to my face while I was in bed. I burst out of my room and screamed for my mum to kill the spider. Once again I was shaking badly, afraid of another spider coming to get me. I don’t think I turned that light off until it was about five in the morning. Now I can’t even look at a picture of a spider without flinching, feeling nauseous and my pulse racing.
