2nd coming of christ

First of all, let me say that I am episcopalian; so please dont tell me I need to find christ to understand… So, everyone talks about the second coming. But if christ was resurrected from the dead, then wasnt that the second coming?

Everyone talks about the 2nd coming, because everyone is reading the same end times nonsense popularized by ‘The Late Great Planet Earth” - a theological gobbeldygook composed from a naive and literalist perspective of buffet style exegesis.

good point, but he wasn’t resurrected because he wasn’t dead, he didn’t die on the cross, the shroud portrays bleeding, dead men don’t bleed. He was simply put into a coma state. But to those who do believe he was, you have a good point, lol. But I doubt people will see it as such.

That’s a great question. Personally, I think it means, after He was resurrected and went to Heaven, He then left this Earth, therefore, His second coming would be His return to Earth. I’ve always had a hard time wrapping my head around this myself, but this has always made the most sense to me. Who knows, perhaps it’s always three days before any of us actually leave this Earth, but somehow I think I could argue both points for ages until I completely confuse myself!
