Go to the pet store (like Petco or Petsmart)...buy some bitter apple spray...and spray the places where she chews...Before this can work, however, you have to spray a little into her mouth, so she gets the connection between "this smell" equals "THIS taste"...This will work for a pup, who's already got the "habit" of chewing for fun...
Also, when you catch her at it, offer her something else to chew...toy, Kong...bone...
Here's something I've done with all my dogs, from the minute they enter my house, I have a "toy box" right in the living room...it doesn't take very long for them to realize that EVERYTHING in this box is ok to play with...and in a very short time, they go there to find something to chew on...there's a variety of things in it...Kongs, heavy bones (real, though, not those leather chews)...big, smaller, rough, smooth...lots of different textures and sizes...I've only lost one thing to a pup in the last 26 years...

I highly recomend same advice, also make sure not to get lazy. You have to let your dogs play outside and run free for atleast 45 minutes about 2 times a day!!! Take them to a dog park...make play dates with other peoples dogs that get along, go jogging, or something. A tired dog is a happy owner!!!

Send me Fun Mail
We have a Rottweiler puppy that is about 5 months old she is bitting on the spindle on my stare casing and the nice high base boards around my house. Please tell me how do I get her to stop?
