Smear tobasco sauce on the wood. He won't think its so fun next time.
OO>..I know that can be very frustrating. Maybe he is just still in his teething stage and just NEEDS something to chew on. If you could keep a lot of chew toys around, some of them being made of wood, maybe even just a few blocks of wood sitting around, he would choose those instead of your high dollar stuff. Good luck. I don't know the implications of dogs chewing on wood or if it does anything bad to their digestive tract, but you might want to look into that first.

I have a 7 month old english bulldog, and he chews on wood. I have wood steps off the back of my house, a wooden swingset, and a wooden hot tub. He really likes the steps and I could deal with that. Now he has started on the swingset and the hot tub. He doesn't chew on anything else except wood. Does anyone have any advice? Please
