would sea water help my acne?

I’ve been looking around and things that help kind of dry up your skin can help dry up your acne.

…and I was thinking of the time when you go to the beach, get wet the dry, and your skin always feels tight and whatnot…would that help backacne you think?

Answer #1

Try using one of those fluffy net sponges and anti-bacterial soap. After a few days, you will be cleared up. The net sponge will loosen the dead skin and work out the dirt from your pores. The anti-bacterial soap will help keep the bacteria from causing more acne. Try to stay away from make-up, acne ointments, oily/greasy foods, and other skin like products like sun tan lotion to let the air get to the skin. When you scrub, you dont need to run your skin raw, but do scrub hard enough so it feels rough. Stay away from any acne ointments - they’re just taking your money.

Answer #2

ichi as usual is correct. That is why over the counter products like clean and clear etc don’t really work for real acne..it just dries out your skin and to compensate your skin produces twice as much oil

Rather get a non-perfumed, non-oily moisturizer and use it twice a day.

Answer #3

You’re actually on the wrong course here - drying out your skin creates flakes of dead skin that act as a breeding ground for bacteria, actually making the acne worse.

Believe it or not, you need to keep your skin moisturized in order to get acne under control.
