hm, you might want to look around elizabeth street, its one over from Queen st. I know that scarab closed down but there are some other stores around there that look promising.

And cowpunk, I am a 5th generation wiccan, I am in my family’s coven although I no longer get to participate that often since I moved countries, I was never initiated by a 3rd degree, I was initiated by my mother. Wicca is not as strict as you seem to believe. Of course there are laws and rules and guidelines, but it is a path which any who wish to are free to choose and walk along it as they see fit, it is especially hard when one lives in a remote area to be a part of a oven, or be initiated by a particular type of person. Wicca is largely based on the individuals personal belief, lifestyle and identity… it is less strict and organised so that it leaves room for spiritual freedom and growth. saying that someone is not Wiccan because they were not initiated in a certain way and are not of a certain age is the same as telling a person that they are not christian because they were not baptized at birth or by a preist, which is absurd since Jesus himself was not baptized until he was 30.

As far as your question goes, you may have better luck shopping online in places like ebay, or you could try kellisbroomcloset.com.

Please try and understand what I’m saying here… I’m not intending any type of insult to you or your beliefs, but your facts are disoriented.

You are not Wiccan. You may be Wiccan-inspired, but you are not a Wiccan. Wicca is an initiatory, mystery religion, created by Gerald Gardner in the 50’s. In order to be Wiccan, you must be initiated by a 3rd degree High Priest or Priestess. In most cases, you must also be of legal age (18). No coven will take you in under their wing, they may perhaps let you study with them, and observe, but you will not participate in a lineaged coven because of your age. It’s authors like Ravenwolf and Cunningham who seem to think letting people believe they can initiate themselves are okay; and we all know how Wiccans feel about these two authors.

Theresa how can you even know what Wicca is all about and make such a statement? you were probably raised in a strict religious environment and have not matured yet to see that life offers other alternatives. How can it be considered wrong to celebrate our mother earth and nature? It’s a celebration of what can be seen and for me that is a wonderful differentiation from believing in something you dont comprehend just yet. And as for you princess1992 I wish you all the best of luck discovering your way and finding a path that feels natural and right

I am a wiccan with no coven. its called solitary practitioner. this means a wiccan practice without a coven cause their are none around or, in my case they dont feel they are ready to make such a commetment. For example I’m in the military and move around the world every 4 years, not to mention deployments, I realize that a coven takes giving a part of you to the whole and moving and starting over aging isnt something I want to do so im a solitary practitioner .initiation by a 3ed degree is not nessecary. for your information Ravenwolf’s and Cunningham’s books are suggested reading by most wiccans. Their is nothing wrong with solitary practitioners. I’ve been a wiccan for 8 years. I think its your facts that are disoriented. who told you this?

Answer #7

hi im cassie, and I am the leader of balefire, I am 15 and a teacher of the craft, contact me on gamicla_mavpicri_desdosg@hotmail.com we are seeking people to join. we have weekly circles at our covenstead.

regards cass.

p.s wicca worships the goddess and god, which the truthful god as in the holy spirit condemns this religion, I ask, is he condemning the wrong religion, when theres much worse doings of the craft out there? wicca does not harm anything as our quote is “an ye harm none, do what ye will” we also abide by the wiccan rede which is like out sacred bible.

Answer #8
