Who is jesus christ and what was his mission to the world?
Who is Jesus Christ and what is His mission to the world?
"Who is Jesus Christ and what is His mission to the world?" is certainly a logical question to ask. He changed the world in only 30 years on earth, and no one has had more of an impact on this planet than Jesus Christ. This is, after all, His planet.
Psalms 97:1-6 says, "The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory."
There is no surer sign of Christ's divinity than 2000 years after His death people and demons still tremble at His name. Many shudder upon hearing His powerful name; there is no other name that has power like that of Jesus.
The Bible attributes this phenomenon to the fact that Jesus is God. His message is love, and as 1 John 4:8 tells us, God is love. Although His message and His acts were selfless, His teaching focused on Himself. "Follow me;" "I am the light;" "I am the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me."
Christ claimed to be God. Even in the Bible, people asked, "Who is Jesus?"
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "Before Abraham was born, I AM!"
Proclaiming He was God was not Jesus' mission. What is His mission to the world? His three-year mission was not to convert people to His cause. Although Christ ministered to many people, John the Baptist was better known throughout the Roman Empire. The Apostle Paul influenced thousands to follow Jesus, compared to Jesus Himself who only had 120 supporters shortly after His death.
The mission of Jesus was prophesied in Isaiah 7:14-15: "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will eat curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right."
Jesus was also fully human. Jesus became tired, hungry, sad, and angry. He went to work as other men, and most importantly, He was tempted. Immanuel means "God with us." Jesus came to experience humanity, so as a human He could pay the price for the crimes of humanity. Our sins have been nailed to the cross, and we bear them no more.
God is the judge, and humanity is the offender. The judge is the only one who can name the penalty, and the offender is the only one who can pay the atonement. Therefore, in order to pay the atonement on behalf of humanity, God had to become human. The penalty has been paid in full, and the decision to accept the payment on your behalf is yours.

Who was Jesus Christ?
The Roman centurion in charge of the crucifixion (and the soldiers that where with him) said:
Matt 27:54 The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, "Truly, this was the Son of God!"
John 20:30-31 Jesus' disciples saw him do many other miraculous signs besides the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life. – NLT
What was His mission?
John 18:37 Pilate replied, "You are a king then?" "You say that I am a king, and you are right," Jesus said. "I was born for that purpose. And I CAME TO BRING TRUTH TO THE WORLD. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true."
Again who was Jesus Christ and what was His mission?
John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
first of all, Dont listne to servatofallah because their wrong! Jesus is the son of God. An angel came to tell Mary that she was going to birth the son of the one and only God. Jesus is not a prophet, hes the son of God! And I dont see why Muslims hate Christians because we havnt done anythign to you and were not pressuring your religion but all of asudden yall wanna say something about our religion? That makes no sense. Adam is the first man on earth and hes kind of a son of god to which would kind of make Jesus and Adam brothers. ITs the truth my pastor told us. Their are three brancehs THe Father(GOd) who reigns on the throne in heaven, The son(Jesus) who died for our sins, and the HOLY SPIRIT( who is on the earth and helps us on our CHRISTIAN JOURNEY) Please dont be discouraged but you can believe whatever you want too! Peace love and happiness May God be with you!
He is God's son who became a person to live on this earth. God wanted once and for all to have a forgiveness that wouldn't fall short because of us. His Son lived his entire life completely in God's perfect will. When he died, the beating and crucifix was God's accepted price needed to be paid for all of humankinds wrongs. God accepted this punishment for humankinds total forgiveness. But humankind was still spiritually dead. Jesus Christ rose from the dead to prove who he was and to provide something else. The answer to unconditional forgiveness. If you believe these things and ask Jesus Christ to come and bring His spirit to live in you, you will always be in a forgiven state and God will reveal Himself to you. You will be spiritually alive because of God's spirit living in you forever.
GOD,JESUS & HOLY SPIRIT ARE ONE(TRINITY) THIS IS HARD FOR MANY TO BELIEVE BUT IF WE'RE REAL CHRISTIANS THEN YOU'LL UNDERSTAND WITH NO DOUBT.JESUS WAS SEND TO THIS WORLD TO DIED FOR ALL OF US SO THAT WE MAY HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER. WE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS(OUR SAVIOR WHO DIED ON THE CROSS FOR US) THEN WE MUST CONFESS(OUR SINS)AND ACCEPTED (HIS FORGIVENESS) JESUS CAME TO TEACH(THAT'S WHERE HE GATHER THE 12 DISCIPLES WHO HE TAUGHT TO BE FISHER OF MEN(TEACHING THEM THE WAY TO LIVE AND BE IN THIS WORLD)THEN TO GO DO THE SAME FOR OTHERS SO THAT THEY MAY DO THE SAME AND SO ON. WE ALL HAVE A PURPOSE,A DESTINY AND A WILL. ALL OF THIS IS MEANT FOR THE FATHER TO BE GLORIFIED.
GOD ... to win every heart to GOD if possible "all things are possible ..." Do you hear Him/Her tugging at your heart-strings? It's all about relationship. You are designed to be "family" Live accordingly. This is (what) the mission continues to be, to draw all of GOD's children to a personal knowing of YHVH "ADONAI" the author and finisher of our faith For it is written, "before you were in the womb; I foreknew you" Believe it. Live accordingly. ROYA
WAS His mission? It still is...to save it and bring new life to all who call upon His Holy Name.
"Calling upon His Name" means that we have NOW decided to die to self and live wholly for Jesus to be master of our lives as He is the provider of everything that we need.
TODAY is the day of salvation. We have been justified many years ago, we just need to acknowledge that complete and perfect grace.
I agree with luvly and haleigh911,The main thing was he was here to spread LOVE,FAITH,COURAGE AND HEALING.HE IS STILL HERE IN SPIRIT !!! So,if you need guidance all you have to do is pray and spend quiet time alone with your thoughts and the lord and you'll find peace.
Jesus is God who became flesh destined to be crucified on the cross to bring mankind back to God and save those who believe in Him.
jesus is the son of god who came to earth to spread the word and die for the sins of who believes in him
Jesus Christs mission was to spread the word about God and how great He is.
