Which birth control do you recommend?

I’ve been looking at different types, like injections, patches, pills, and implants, but I want to know what other people think before talking to a doctor so I have a better idea of what to ask about. So, what have you tried, what works best?

Answer #1

I like the patches best, you change em once a week and its better then a shot because well no one likes shots and its better then the pill because its not as easy to forget. dont know bout the implants though

Answer #2

everything has different side effects for different people. I personally think the safest is the pill if you remember to take it everyday. the pill that you get your period every month not once every 3-4 months. its the oldest and most common. but thats just my opinion, I only have experience with the seasonale birth control that you get your period every 3 months and it made me sick and before I could change it I got pregnant so I have nothing to compare too and im not a doctor. only your doctor knows you best.

but I dont really know, or trust the doctor. I do not go on a normal basis, and never seem to have the same doctor twice. I really wanted to know about side effects, because those scare me. and reading on websites or talking to some doctor who just wants money isnt the honest, good opinion that I trust I can recieve from the nice people here on fun advice.

Answer #4

In my opinion, talking to your doctor is the best step to take. The reason being is because every birth control has pros and cons, you doctor obviously knows you and can look at your health history which will help. Your doctor will explain each type and probably suggest a certain kind based on you. The birth control that’s best for me, could end up being the worst for you, it depends on your body, history, etc.

Answer #5

I suggest you go to a woman’s clinic then, look in the phone book there is probably a local one. Because it REALLY depends on your body, the effects they have on someone else has nothing to do with the effects it may have on you. So that’s really difficult, look up woman clinics :)
