One I recently learned that comes to mind is “schadenfreude” This a word loaned to us from German that means delight at other people’s misfortune. I did have to look up how to spell it though.

Another good one is supercilious which means arrogant, stuck-up, cocky etc. Funny thing is that people used this word when I was young but it seems to have fallen out of common usage.
