Answer #1

Icing sugar, butter, vanilla extract and 2% milk. Most recipes contain just these ingredients. http://funadvice.com/r/16cbe3mv4te

OK - go with the icing sugar then. Best way to apply it is pour a bit into a fine sieve, then shake the sieve side to side until the desired effect is achieved. If applying over icing, it is best to apply while the icing is still slightly moist, otherwise it can be prone to being blown off due to the draft when carrying the cake.

Since you asked for easy, another alternative is to blend together (with a rubber spatula) roughly equal parts of cream cheese and frozen orange juice concentrate. You can adjust the quantities until it reaches the right spreading consistency.

Or, for a cinnamon-raisin frosting that’s not just yummy but healthy too, puree these ingredients together in a high-powered blender until smooth:

1/2 cup raw cashews (or macadamia nuts) 1/2 cup soymilk 1/3 cup raisins 10 brazil nuts 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1:Attach the whisk attachment (if you have it) or beaters.

2 Place your softened butter in the bowl of your mixer.

3 Beat the butter at medium to high speed until it’s light and fluffy. Stop every minute or so and scrape the sides of the bowl. Do this for at least five minutes.

4 Mix the vanilla flavoring and salt in a separate small bowl to dissolve the salt.

5 Turn your mixer to low and add the flavoring and salt to your butter. Whip the frosting again until light and fluffy.

6 Turn the mixer to low and add the sugar very slowly. Allow each addition to become moistened before adding more. Continue until all the sugar has been added.

7 Turn the mixer to medium and begin adding your milk 1 tsp. at a time. Continue until you have added 2 tbsp.

8 Turn the mixer to high and whip the frosting again. If the frosting seems too thick, add more liquid, 1 tsp. at a time. Continue until the frosting is light and fluffy.
