Is patriarchy a thing of the past?
Ok well in my english class we’re talking about patriarchy and our teacher set us work on wether we think patriarchy is a thing of the past and wether it should be a thing of the past.. In the Americas, then I would have to say that it is, indeed, a thing of the past as more women are rising up to become the heads of their families and progressing on to better paying jobs and higher social status. Naturally, there is yet to be a female president, but the doors have been opened for that possibility, and it’s only a matter of time.
In many Eastern countries, however, households and governments are still completely run by males, and women are treated poorly.
