what doe sit mean when somebody says its the bottom of the ninth?

if your talking about baseball… their are 2 parts of an inning and there are 9 innings in a game. their is a top which is when the away team is bating and the top of the inning is when the home team is bating

It’s an analogy to baseball. In baseball, the bottom means the second half of the inning, and the ninth inning is the last of a game. When somebody says its the bottom of the ninth, it usually means you’re at the end of something or you’re cutting it close.
