Can I move out when I'm 18?

I have been 18 since August, and I want to move out, can I? my step mom and my dad say I can’t, if I try they are going to send me to my horrible mother in Hawaii, can they do that?

Answer #1

To be sure (no legal ramifications), check your states ‘age of majority’…I wish you the best !!

Answer #2

if your states adult age is 18, your parents cant do anything, and you CAN move out

Answer #3

Legally, I do believe you can move out. Make sure you have a decent paying job and can support yourself…pay rent, utilities, groceries, all those lovely bills adults have to pay.

If you’re still in high school, try to stick it out until you graduate.

Sorry to hear you have a horrible mother…otherwise moving to Hawaii wouldn’t sound half bad!
