What can I do to get my boyfriends family to like me?
My boyfriends family thinks am not the right girl for him, we have been going out for 2 years now and they still dont like me. We havent met face to face but the know me as his girlfriend,they say things to him to get him to hate me but he dont listen but I really need them to like me because I really love him un I want to be closer to the family.
I think you should meet them face to face. They have not met you yet so they cannot make an opninion about you. Maybe they think their son is not ready to have a girlfriend yet, or they don’t want him to have one. Then it wouldn’t be your fault. Your boyfriend should talk to his parents to see what it is, or you should meet them, that’s the only advice I can give you.
As I was in your situation once, where my ex-girlfriend’s family used to like me but their feelings towards me went sour, I would advise you to do all that is in your power to talk to them and tell them the reason you’re dating, why you love him, etc. Having a family that doesn’t like you puts a ton of pressure on you. That’s one reason why I dumped my girlfriend, day after Christmas.
