How can I marry my boyfriend if my family doesn't like him?
im madly in love with my boyfriend, but my entire family except my sister and cousin dont like him. i want 2 marry him so baddly, but i want my family 2 love him at least a fraction of how much i love him. it’s so important to me that they like him b4 we get married. do u think it would b a good idea 2 marry him ne way? or should i wait and help my boyfriend get on my family’s good side? how can i help ne way? plz help! (BTW: we have not yet announced our engagement, we want 2 wait on it til they like him)
who’s marrying him..not your family right?..you are? exactly! they will learn to love him eventually. you do what you want considering its your own life; @ your state of mind. not theirs. they really should be thinking about what you want and your own happiness..and they should be accepting the boy you have chosen to spend a life time with. they should trust you that you have a good opinion of who you have pledged your whole life to.
Look, they are NOT the ones marrying him, if you love him then that’s all that matters, your family will eventually come around. They probably don’t like him because they think he is not good enough for you, remind them of this, and that YOU KNOW he’s the one for you, and if they don’t like him for a different reason, just ask that they put that behind them, they are your family, they love you, they should be thinking about YOUR happiness, they’re not the ones who are pledging the rest of their lives to him.
