Is it true that, by the age of 18, if you are under 5 feet you are legally considered a midget?

According to LPA (Little People of America), a person that is under 4’10 is considered to be a midget.

Midget and Dwarf are two different people. A midget usually has unproportional limbs, whereas a dwarf is just a really short proportionate person.

I don’t think so. If you are propotionaly small that doesn’t make you a midget. That just means you’re petite. But legally idk

Actually, it’s the opposite of that. But, most little people consider “midget” an offensive term, so they call them all dwarfs. …And there’s nothing legal or illegal about it.

Many of them prefer “little people”, but dwarfism is the actual technical medical term. Decades ago they would call themselves “midgets” but now it’s “politically incorrect”. And you’re right about Snooki. She is considered a dwarf (and there’s nothing wrong with that). My sister is too.

ummm no! I was 4’11 until i was about 23, but I finally grew that extra inch. So now i’m officially 5’ and I’m 28. I’m just a short, but still fully grown, adult.
