Hello Justin!Drink a tablespoon of honey and of lemon juice in warm water really slow. Also buy hard sweets and lick them slowly and gently-don’t crush them. This will produce a lot of saliva keeping the throat coated, warm and clean. The lemon fights of possible infections and helps the throat heal.

Answer #4

I normally have hot water, honey, and lemon juice. I would also take a break for awhile and maybe when you do screamo drink lots of water so your throat wont dry up.

Answer #5

You should drink water before, during and after longish sessions of harsh vocals. I also find that honey helps, but only a little bit. Also, if you are hurting your throat, you are probably doing it wrong, and there are several techniques you can use to make screaming less harsh on your throat.

Answer #6

@Stef: They do not actually use auto-tuning, and often have to perform such vocals live in places where auto-tiuning just doesn’t happen. However, yes they do get a lot of help from vocal coaches to help them perform harsh vocals in ways which are less taxing on the throat.

Answer #7

If your throat feels like it’s bleeding, you’re not using the proper technique and screaming from your diaphragm. You’re using purely your throat, and if you continue doing that you could injure yourself. No professional would scream like that. There are videos that teach you this, look them up before you continue doing this.
