Who thinks that if your dad starts to get violent and try and hurt you it's alright to call the police?

  One time, my dad called the police on my mom when she was really drunk and threw a wine bottle at me, and was doing lots of other things. My mom got taken to detox and she was actually mad at HIM for some reason.

  First of all we should know why he is angry and getting violent.If he gets really angry for silly reason and gets violent then calling police is wort as it is the best you can do instead of regretting later on.

  People who drink don't wanna be told that they are doing wrong..my mom does that sometimes tooo . well she never threw anything at me but she is a real b!tch when she is drunnnk.

  I think its alright to call the police if hes getting violent- its either asault or abuse or watevr, its completely wrong for someone to do it to you- its ur rights

  I agree with Ty...it doesn't matter why he is getting angry. Even if she done something wrong to make him angry, he shouldn't get violent and try to hurt her.

  If ANYONE gets violent and tries to hurt you, you shoould call the police. Regardless of who they are...parent or not.
