Do you use sunscreen on your face?

I have a oil-free moisturizer spf-15. I’m afraid it will make my face extremely oily. Would I use that instead of normal sun screen? Or should I use sun screen instead?

Answer #1

Well I don’t have any experience with such things, but it sounds like if your oil free moisturizer is spf-15, then it should act as a sunscreen also. So I’d say use it instead of sunscreen. Seems it would work just fine.

Answer #2

Absolutley!!!

Answer #3

Thanks! Do you think spf 15 is enough? Or should I get a stronger one. My mumsays 15 is nothing.

Answer #4

I usually use something along the lines of an spf-50. I burn pretty easily and don’t like running around looking like a lobster and having my face feel like its on fire :P.

Answer #5

haha, so I gues 15 is nothing? Is yours sunscreen or just a moisturizer?

Answer #7

Gosh I don’t know Miss Janice. I’m half American Indian and somewhat dark complected. Sunscreen just isn’t part of my world.

Answer #8

I just use regular sunscreen. More concerned with being crispy fried then an oily face :P.

Answer #9

moisturizers with an spf level are ok for short forays into the sun, such as from the car to the house or going to the store, but if you’re planning on spending time in the sun, a suncreen with an spf of 30 and above is better

Answer #10

Yes, I just have a hard time finding a sun screen that doesnt make my face greasy..

Answer #11

I use an SPF 100 everyday, whatever the weather is doing. My moisteriser and foundation are both SPF15, but I use sunscreen anyway.

Answer #12

Use Sunscreen during sun expsposure, then use moisturizer after sun expsposure.

Answer #14

I never spend much time outside without sunscreen. ;)

Answer #15

Yes I do. lol Cause otherwise I’d have a really red nose the next day D: You should just try out different sunscreens, I know they have some that are just spray on and aren’t even lotiony, but they have a lot of alcohol in those one’s and might make your sin too dry lol xD If you are gonna go out in the sun for hours and hours then spf 15 wouldn’t do enough. At least it wouldn’t for me but who know’s how well you tan. :P

Answer #16

yes, you can buy what looks like a glue stick that’s made special for faces
