"Stupid" is a word that describes your behaviour when you do something wrong that was within your conscious control to avoid doing. . Depression is a condition which is not under your deliberate control, and as such cannot be fairly described as "stupid". . It may be stupid to fake the symptoms of depression, but under those circumstances you are not actually suffering from depression - you are deliberately allowing yourself to descend into hypochondria.

'Depressed' is actually a reference to a mood STATE as well as a mood DISORDER. It would depend on what you are referring to and the situation. There's never a stupid reason to have a mood disorder, that is out of your control. And even technically a mood is not fully in your control, however, I believe that there can be issues with priority if one is experiencing a depressed mood over something trivial.
well when i was wiith that douche who i was with for 5 yrs and he cheated on me THEN dumped me im not gona lie i was soo depressed it took me about 3 months which isnt THTA llong but it really changed my perspective of some guys to be honest :\
I don't think there is a stupid reason why you can be depressed, I just think that people confuse depression with simply being sad. I think it's stupid beind 'down' for a guy/girl and feeling like your depressed, It's just simply a mistake.

Yep. Most reasons related to parents. If you can't obey them, obviously you'd be feeling like crap having to deal with them. Also over a boy when you're anywhere between 13 to 17, it's just hormones.
