What causes you to see specs of black and shiny things in your vision floating around and moving?

It happens to me occasionaly but i never knew what caused it.

They are called floaters. They are deposits that float inside the eyeball gel like substance and sometimes they pass in front of the retina and that is when you notice them. They are harmless and could’ve been there since before birth.

You have vision problems and you better consult an eye specialist as earlier is always better

When I was young, I though I was special and could see spirits. :) As I grew i just considered it small pieces lint. I think they are so small that the eye doesn’t get bothered by it. Normally I just ignore it, but usually I play around and still pretend I can see spirits. Lol

they are cause by dead blood cells close together causing shadows or the eye aging. This happens when you have lack of sleep, head trauma or drug use. It completely harmless

Floaters huh? It just seemed a bit odd that there was so many of them when it happens…like 50 or more all moving in opposite directions. You would think you would notice something like that in your eye. Strange.

oppps it looks like its not from the blood cells but from the retina<-light sensitive tissue.

I get that sometimes, I went to the doctor and was told that it comes with Chronic migranes. They can give you medicine for it and tell you how to help it go away.
