My sister is in prison and only eats once per week when they serve bread and cheese if she eats on any other day it's because she got something at the prison canteen. As a result she has started to lose her hair and she has developed a red rash on her face and forehead. On her forehead it looks like the rash is in the shape of a heart. Just recently she had developed hand tremors and when she was taken to the prison doctor he just said she has Parkinsons. We don't accept this diagnosis because she was fine until she went to prison 7 months ago. She has always been a picky eater and she doesn't like the food that is served to her in prison. Can anyone tell me what we can do to help her and at the same time get the medical attention she needs.
not sure what you can do about the prison doc though that is some bs. but my friend works at a prison and he says that people try to fake sicknesses all the time and it pisses them off to were when someone actually is sick they are ignored. but I dont see how they can ignore symptoms you describe. and if they diagnosed her parkinsons whay aren't they treating her for it? is it because you didn't except it? anyhow I think she may need to grin and bear it and eat something distasteful. I dont see how her hunger doesnt drive her to it.
You could try explaining explaining the importance of eating to your sister although it seems like she may need a dramatic example to convice her to eat. Also, you may want to report the prison to whatever authority is in charge of it. I think that that is probably illegal.
I wish I could help you, but I don't know how you'd go about helping her get better food and care. Maybe if you talk with a local police office. Keep her in your prayers.
if your that hungry, you'll eat anything. she's going to have to eat regardless of what it is. "beggar's can't be chooser's" so to say.
I think she should help herself thats that only thing she could do to get back into her life.. I wish her good luck!
