Should marijuana be legal?

I think it should stay illegal. And smoking should become illegal too. Just watching my mother cough her lungs out every night is not exactly nice to see.

ecstasy used to be legal before 75 and it only became illegal because people were stacking (taking more and more of it) and at that time people werent involuntarily killing people just because of the drug…

no just because “most people” do something illegal doesnt mean it should all of a sudden become legal and if it did things like rape and violence will greatly increase

About the cancer causing properties of Tobacco and Marijuana: Marijuana HAS got more cancer causing properties than Tobacco. HOWEVER the THC and CBD are very very powerful anti cancer agents, cancelling out all the cancer causing properties of the herb itself, and then cancelling out other toxins you inhale.

Legality: I would like it to be legal. However I would not like the prefered method for ingestion to be smoking; food, vaporising, drinking and other methods being much more preferable in my opinion.

I think it should be legal but there has been no studies on long term marijuana use causing cancer. so we don’t really know if that is true yet. I think marijuana smoke is potentially as bad for your lungs as tobacco smoke because cigarette smokers do not normally hold the smoke in their lungs for extended periods of time like a large majority marijuana users do, probably raising your chances of emphysema later on in life. but ya there are plenty of legal things that are unhealthy for you including different over the counter medicines on the market doesn’t really make sense why weed isn’t legal.

I would not mind if my son decided to smoke marijuana when he was older. It does not cause cancer, like ciggarettes do, it does not kill people, like alcohol does. People say it’s addicting. I have been into drug and alcohol counseling and still go to meetings twice a week (for other substances), addiction is a disease that not everyone has. If you have an addictive personality, you can be addicted to ANYTHING, not just drugs. If you dont have an addictive personality, you can simply put down things no problem. People try drugs every day and dont get addicted to them. It all depends on if they had that in them to begin with.

In my honest opinion, I think It should stay illegal. Too many children are getting into it, and for them it’s just way too easy to get a hold of. Yes, it’s true, there is worse drugs out there. And alcohol too. But believe it or not, marijuana is a drug too. Would you want your children smoking weed? I didn’t think so.

Yes. It is a natural herb that is not man-made. There are far worse drugs out there that are legal. Alcohol - kills millions of people a year. Marijuana - None. The reason’s why it’s illegal have nothing to do with health, and everything to do with corporate america and the government not being able to tax it because it can be home grown so easily.

There are more toxins in ciggarette smoke however, that is why it causes lung cancer and marijuana does not.

people with an addiction (including hard drugs) shouldnt be thrown in jail, they need help theres more people in jail with mental illnesses than there are in mental institutions
