Alcohol vs Marijuana

Other than their status under the law what is the difference in their effects on people and society? And is one better or worse than the other? And why?

Answer #1

I find people who smoke marijuana way worse than alcohol - they don’t seem to participate in the conversation or be ‘alive’ you know. Apparently pot can bring on schizophrenia or something in people as well but I am not a doctor and not v gd on that topic so don’t take that as factual or something. Other people will know the answer to this. Either way tho, alcohol is legal for people over 18 and pot is not!

Answer #2

DO me a favor: Look up the amount of people who have died on record as a direct result of alcohol abuse. Now look up how many have died from marijuana. Draw your conclusions.

The people you know, carriedee333, are probably acting that way because they think that’s the way people who smoke weed should act. The whole “stoner” cliche is simply a teenage phenomena; most people I know now (and I’m in 3rd year university) smoke marijuana, and are extraordinarily bright. The ones I know that are drinkers, including myself, are much more of a.. threat to ourselves and others.

Answer #3

Neither is worse. It all depends on the individual who is using them…

Answer #4

…for now…
